Will the Stimulus Plan be Successful?
With not only the United States economy on a downward spiral but also the global economies, many lawmakers are talking about ways to ease the strain on the economy to at least stabilize it so that people do not end up destitute or jobless. Thus, talk has turned to bailouts for major companies that risk going under and a stimulus plan to help jumpstart the economy.

The Obama Economic Stimulus Plan
If you have been following the news at all the past few weeks then you may have heard about the President Bush economic stimulus plan. The Bush plan requested $700 Billion in two installments that was to be given to the banking industry to help the banks clear up the bad debt they have taken on in the past few years and start lending again so that the economy can turn back upwards. However the first $350 Billion installment was badly managed and the banks that received the money did not use it to start lending again.

Can a Stimulus Plan Work?
One of the most important issues facing President Obama is the economy and how to get the economy back on track. Former President Bush introduced the concept of a stimulus plan where the government would subsidize in some form, either through loans or grants, an important part of the American economy. The first two business sectors to benefit from a stimulus plan were the banking industry and the auto industry.
